With the midterm elections fast approaching, black Hollywood has pulled together to help raise money for Georgia gubernatorial candidate, Stacey Abrams. The event took place on Oct. 21, at the home of actor/producer Will Packer, with ticket prices starting at $1,000 but ranging to $2,500.
Beginning at 4 p.m. stars flooded the charity event. Hollywood power players in attendance ranged from Chris Tucker to Tiffany Haddish, but also included black-ish co-star Marsai Martin, LeToya Luckett, her husband Tommicus Walker (and their unborn baby), Tyrese and Marlon Waynes.
The event, which was hosted by Ludacris, took place in Sandy Springs, GA. The star-studded event tugged at the heartstrings of your favorite celebrities causing to pull out their wallets and gove big to the potential state representative. In total, the event raised upward of $300K.
According to AJC, cast members from the Real Housewives Of Atlanta were also in attendance. Unlike other candidates who have tried to sway the “black vote,” Adams’ tasteful fundraising event shows how classy a true politician can be.
